The hotel was in a particularly good location short walk to centre city and train station as well as airport. It was an easy walk to Les Viviers, where you can have dinner.

Location was good on a tree lined, busy street. It was close to main shopping centre, train station and there were good bars/cafes/restaurants all within easy walking distance. It was clean, and v.comfortable.I upgraded before visit to a superior double as some reviews had stated the small size of some rooms and bathrooms. We were very happy with the size of our room and bathroom, which had a balcony facing the street. Furniture in the room was stylish and modern. We enjoyed our stay at the Carlton and would return.
We did not take breakfast at the hotel. It was continental one at 7.50euros- a reasonable cost.but we prefer just coffee in local cafes. The hotel could improve its' appeal if it offered:- 1. Use of an iron for clients, 2. It had a fridge in the room, 3.Offered internet use to clients.

Had a blast with friends! We enjoyed visiting Monte Carlo and Cannes, both a short trip away. The hotel is clean, with well-renovated bathrooms and a beautiful reception area. It's also super close to public transport and shopping. Highly recommend for group trips!
It was unfortunate since the hotel wasn't full.

The room had a gorgeous view of the park, but the old carpeting and minimal furniture were great. The staff was really good, friendly, and accommodating. The Wi-Fi barely worked was great. The bathroom in my economy room was not well maintained, showing its age. The TV only had French channels and didn't connect to any devices, disappointing for a longer stay. I appreciated the location, very close to the old town and the beach, but the thin walls were a major downside. I often heard noise from neighboring rooms. On our last day, the air conditioning started leaking water onto the carpet, a hassle, but the staff was quick to respond. Despite the issues, the hotel had good service and location were nice, budget-conscious stay.

The only thing that the Carlton has going for it is it's in a fairly central location.
Lack of facilities, wifi was available but unable to login. Resturaunt? was there one? Couldn't even get a coffee at 6pm. No services in the hotel were made apparent on arrival. I have stayed in a number of hotels in Nice but this has to be the poorest one yet.

Small rooms, but clean. Location is excellent and shopping area, the old town and the beach are all within short walking distance. Many rooms have a balcony.
Rooms are old and unupdated.

Great place to stay for the price. The front desk was incredibly helpful and spoke English for all the travelers who's French is lacking :-) Great location in a beautiful part of town close to the main drag for eating and sunning. We lucked out finding this place so if you do enjoy! One thing the bathrooms didn't have shower curtains so you have to be a little creative in that area...

Comfortable room, convenient location, with good coffee in the morning and good croissants to start the day makes this hotel a great place to unwind after exploring nearby attractions.
Almost perfect.

Location is quite good, parking is available, though it's quite expensive, 18 Euro per hour. Room are a bit old fashioned, but quite ok. I had a bathroom in my room.
Walls are like a paper, breakfast is poor (usual France) and expensive. There are no king size bad and WiFi is not available on the third floor - poor connection quality.
